While minimalists will tell you that less is more, sometimes, more truly is more. Designed to accommodate not only your mouse, but your keyboard (and maybe act as a surface for your headphones to rest on as well) the Goliathus Extended Chroma mousepad is a whopping 920mm long, and 249mm wide. With its micro-textured fabric surface, it provides a good surface for any mouse. Bright RBG lighting is provided by the fiber-optic tube which has been stitched to the edge of the pad (also helping protect against fraying). Interfacing with Razer’s Chroma software, it can cycle through colours, project a static colour, or even respond to whatever music you’re playing. As an added bonus for those with sensitive noses, straight out-of-the-box it barely had any smell (one mousepad I tried from another brand reeked of fish, ash and tar – in general a sure sign that poor quality rubber and substandard curing processes were used). If you’ve ever looked at a normal-sized mousepad and thought ‘you know, that’s just far too small, and not anywhere near colourful enough’, then this may be the pad for you.■
